The Coding Company provides ICD 10 AM Clinical Coding services on-site within Client Hospitals.

Our clinical coding staff can work with Books or the Encoder and are generally senior clinical coders with at least two years experience. We provide clinical coding services designed to either eliminate a backlog or to maintain a throughput over a longer period of time.

The Coding Company performs Clinical Coding Audits utilizing standardized Coding audit methodology.

A retrospective coding audit is conducted using The Australian Coding Benchmark Audit (ACBA) document as the tool.

The study sample should be at least 5% of the period audited and include records from each Specialty and Clinical Coder. Records are re-coded without access to the original codes. The codes are then compared and errors recorded on the ACBA Scoring tool. This tool classifies errors into the following reporting categories.
