CLINICAL CODING AND AUDITING

The Clinical Coding services team is comprised of skilled people who bring with them a great deal of experience in teaching hospitals and private hospitals both large and small. The clinical coding services team are allocated to each health care facility based on their particular skills and familiarity with your case mix. This is reflected in coding output, accuracy and quality.

The services team members are required to attend classification update sessions and to keep themselves informed on matters relating to clinical coding and to ensure competencies are constantly developed. Individuals are bound by the Company Code of Ethics and Practice Standards, a copy of which is available upon request.

The service team often travel away to client sites for coding assignments and perform projects that include:

• coding backlogs
• short term planned projects/program funding
• employees absent attending fixed term course of study
• organisational change
• casual/part-time coding
• seasonal workload increases
• backfill while recruitment is done
• special and annual leave, illness, planned leave where long term reliever cannot be justified

The Service Team can code on-line (remotely) and on site.
